 Applicator Pens and Nibs

Materials: Applicator Pens and Nibs

Applicator pens and nibs are used to apply the gutta. The pen is a plastic tube with a screw on the nozzle, where you attach a metal nib with masking tape. Nibs come in many sizes for a thicker or thinner line.

Nibs always come with a correctly sized wire that seals the hole. In using the nibs make sure that the hole is plugged by wire or a pin when you put your pen away at the end of the day, unless the nib will clog.

You can make your own applicator by simply rolling a piece of paper into a cone with a small hole at the pointy end.
